What Cited is now

Cited is the voice of PRAPI the research and publishing arm of an operator-first PR platform.

Every issue from here forward does one of three things:

  • Walks you through a hypothesis we're testing about what actually works in B2B PR pitches.

  • Ships a snippet from a research report or experimental-findings page on prapi.dev.

  • Surfaces something we noticed in the corpus that's too early to call but too interesting to sit on.

Cadence stays roughly twice a month. Voice stays first-person, opinionated, and short.

What's live right now

Cycle 1 of PRAPI's research program is in the accumulating phase. Three hypotheses are pre-registered filed publicly before any data was collected, non-negotiable:

  • H1 — Deadline + concrete data point. Pitches that name a specific external deadline AND a concrete brand-internal number, versus pitches with both stripped to generic framing.

  • H3 — Founder voice. First-person ("I", "we") versus third-person agency framing of the same content.

  • H5 — Operational insider data. Claims sourced from the responder's own systems, versus closest-equivalent public industry data.

The pre-registration locks the analysis plan, the minimum-detectable-effect (30% relative lift), and the sample-size thresholds (100 per arm for direction, 200 per arm for significance) before we look at the data. Negative results publish with the same disclosure depth as wins. That's the commitment.

What's coming

  • A/B variant generation wired into the voice validator.

  • Pitch-outcome tracking with explicit user consent.

  • Internal data accumulation across PRAPI brands (8–16 weeks).

  • Open experimental opt-in for all PRAPI users.

  • First Part 2 experimental-findings report, shipped with an aggregate dataset for independent replication.

One thing before you go

Our first live reverse pitch landed this cycle. Early read: the findings are more interesting than I expected, and they cut against at least one piece of pitch-craft folklore that I personally believed two weeks ago.
