The five patterns that landed B2B coverage in Q1 2026 just shipped.
We asked 31 B2B operators what actually landed press coverage in Q1 2026. Not theories, what they sent and what got a reply. Five patterns showed up again and again:
1. Proprietary numbers beat industry stats. A named brand, a real dollar figure, a measured window.
2. Problem-first beat feature-first. Lead with the friction the reader already feels, then the fix.
3. Founder voice beat agency framing. One accountable human with metrics and access.
4. Timing tied to an irreversible window beat clever timing. Hard deadlines, regulatory cliffs, supply ruptures.
5. Narrative control carried into adjacent rooms. The same combination that won press won buyer-side attention in M&A.
Three things stopped working: generic AI trend hijacking, leading with credentials, static feature lists.
